Buddleja davidii 'Burgundy' is a selection raised by the Hines Nursery in Houston, Texas. [1]
'Burgundy' is a relatively tall buddleja growing to a height of 4.0 m. The cultivar is chiefly distinguished by its magenta flowers which form terminal panicles < 45 cm in length, the shrub as a whole said to resemble 'Royal Red'.[1]
'Burgundy' is only cultivated in the USA. USDA zones 5 - 9.
